ULTRASONIC AND SUBSONIC PEST CONTROL DEVICES - RAT REPELLENT DEVICES
Compliance with obligations deriving from the risk analysis for food safety (H.A.C.C.P.) requires the use of more efficient and modern methods. Contatto s.n.c. is indeed pleased to present its advanced rat eliminators (ultrasonic and seismic rat repellent devices). They are available in models US2004/U of the Hamelin series and PK018, PK019, PK020, PK021, PK022 plus others that are not listed in the catalogue. These devices are easy to install, as all you need to do is power them from a 230Vac socket (117Vac 60Hz on request), or 12Vac/dc and position them wherever they are needed. They are discretely built and therefore barely noticeable by customers. They do not disturb persons or pets. Model PK018 is designed explicitly to be installed inside electric control panels and also outside in areas protected against atmospheric agents. These devices are used to deter rats and mice from roofed areas with rated range of 100sq.mt.; for larger areas you need to install a number of devices or modular systems that can be made-to-measure. For very large industrial plants, we design and manufacture ultrasonic and seismic ultrasonic rat repellent systems for outdoors and indoors; these systems are very powerful, frequency modulated and complete with centralised and radio controlled devices. We also produce very powerful ultrasonic and seismic ultrasonic systems for agricultural use and for plantations powered with solar panels or by electric mains.

THE PIED PIPER: FAIRYTALE, SCIENCE FICTION OR LEGEND?
Hamlin is a small and unusual town in Prussia, built on a merry and florid hill. All the roads from the town lead down to a large river. There was a time when people lived here happily. But one dismal day there was a terrible invasion of mice; mice were everywhere ... the mice were so brave that they frightened even the most courageous of cats! They bit babies in their cradles, they devoured enormous whole cheeses in a flash, they licked up sauces in front of the cooks, they gobbled up whole barrels of sardines and.... they whistled, they squealed so loud that you couldn't even hear the women's chatter. Fssch.....sgrr... ssch! Their hissing and whistling was in a multitude of tones, from the lowest to the highest. It was then that the people of Hamlin began to beg for mercy! The desperate town mayor even offered a thousand guilders and obliged his people to take an H.A.C.C.P. test. This is when rat elimination became mandatory; it was initially done with chemical products and later with electronic ultrasonic equipment. Even if the folktale of the pied piper may seem just a made up story, it could still have a scientific outcome, as the pipe used could have been made to emit frequencies having a double action of hypnotising and disturbing the nervous system of the mice. This is obviously just a supposition, but folktales are often inspired by events that really take place and that are later re-elaborated generation after generation according to the convictions of the taleteller. |
